Time for myself
I decided it was time to do something for myself so I signed up for a photography class that is taught at Beavercreek High School. We had our first class last night and I signed up along with my friends - Tina, Sandy, Jill, and Amy - all from my old neighborhood. I think it will be interesting and hopefully I will learn lots of ways to use all of these settings on my camera. Also, on a whim, I took Morgan to a free tennis lesson and signed her up for beginner lessons at Quail Run Tennis Center and found myself signing up for beginner lessons too. I played recreational tennis through high school and haven't picked up a racket in at least 10 years. I actually had fun! The time worked perfect-can drop Bradley off at preschool, the nursery at the tennis center is staffed by a super sweet woman, play and then get back to get Bradley in time - I so enjoyed having my mind off of my kids for 1 1/2 hours - sounds selfish but so needed once-in-awhile! Now, if I could start up a regular workout routine - baby steps, right?

Chloe's 8th B-day
Chloe's 8th birthday is actually a week away but her parents will be in Puerto Rico -( I am jealous!!) - over her birthday - don't worry, they aren't terrible parents - her grandma and grandpa will make it most memorable I am sure - she probably won't even notice her parents aren't there! Anyhow, Morgan spent the day with Chloe and we met our other friends for dinner, met back up with all 3 families at our house afterward to celebrate with nothing other than a Friendly's ice cream cake - yummy! Thanks for letting us celebrate with you!

New Laminate Flooring
We have wanted to do new flooring in our kitchen/bath/dining room since we moved in June. We finally decided to do it and got wonderful help from my brother/brother-in-law/father-in-law/and very talented hubby! They did a fabulous job. We have a good friend in the carpet business who we really hoped to give our business too but we settle on Lowe's - basically they had stuff we really liked and were cheaper than anywhere we could find - in this economy, money matters to us! It really is a huge improvement and warms up the whole area! Lovin' it! Had to replace all the baseboards which were needed anyway - now just have to sink those nail heads and patch and do a quick paint cover-up - hate the detail work!

Kitchen for the boys
When we moved, I was so ready to get rid of all large toys so I "craigs-listed" our little tikes kitchen thinking we wouldn't need it anymore. After reflecting on this with my friend, Amy, I wondered why I did b/c I really think the boys would enjoy one and she mentioned how her older daughter and friend still play around with it. Literally, THE NEXT DAY, I went into Target -love that place! - and they were having their HUGE 75% off Christmas toy sale. I got this for $25/brand new in box/step 2 - regular price of $100. I couldn't get one this nice and this cheap at a garage sale so I had a stocker get it up to the front register for me b/c I couldn't maneuver my other bargains and Ryan along with that. Boy did I spend some $ but have gifts for upcoming b-days, Easter, Christmas, etc!

New Year's Day - Go Buckeyes!
A nice day to have a fire, stay in and have friends over for the game. I can't even believe I didn't take pictures of the pork tenderloin and sauerkraut my friend, Mary, and her family brought over. It was awesome! I had never tried sauerkraut in all my life and finally did - it wasn't that bad - aren't I pathetic!
