Today was officially halloween, however trick or treat was last night. Tonight, we went to our neighbor's house for a fun party. There was even a donut eating contest! (and a big projector showing a movie outside on a screen) We all had lots of fun! Kids were included too!

Tonight was trick-or-treat in our area. The kids were very excited. Bradley was a dragon, Morgan had a case of chicken pox and Ryan was a skunk. They all looked so cute! Morgan went out with the "big" girls, including herself, Ruthie and Chloe(all the same age), along with Chloe's big sister and her friends and the dads got that group - they cover a LOT of area! Uncle Josh and Aunt Jenny came up from Covington KY to hang out and see the kids- we are so lucky to have them close enough to share things with us. Aunt Jenny, myself, and Nanny Cherry had the boys on a short route and Papaw and his wife, Barbara passed out candy while we were away. We had so many trick-or-treaters - a great neighborhood to be in! So much so that cars were driving in and parking alongside the streets and getting kids out to trick-or-treat - kinda odd but out of our control!

Well, trick-or-treat is tomorrow night so I guess we should be good parents and carve pumpkins. I don't mind the carving, it's the gutting of the pumpkin I dread. (so daddy was nice enough to do that for us!) Morgan did carve her own (with lots of heart-shaped openings) and daddy and I each carved one. Bradley paid no attention to it this year and Ryan cried through a lot of it b/c he wanted to be entertained. However, we got it done and were happy to light them up that night! The end result - carved pumpkinsMorgan carving her pumpkin

My good friend invited us to her parent's house for a wonderful fall party! The evening was so much fun - there were pony rides, a bounce house, a real cotton candy machine and a popcorn maker like the theater has! Doesn't take much to excite us! There was a big bonfire and we roasted hotdogs and the kids did a mini gourd hunt. We went on a hayride, picked gourds from the gourd patch - hoping to dry them out and use them as decorations next year! We all had a great time and got some great fall pictures! I love this time of year!
